About Us

The Eagle River Genealogical Society (E.R.G.S.) was founded as a not-for-profit organization in June of 2005. We meet on the first Monday of each month from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Walter E. Olson Memorial Library, in the spacious Community Room. The library is located at 203 N. Main St., Eagle River, WI 54521. Our meetings begin with a brief business update, followed by workshop sessions where we dive into various genealogical topics. We’d love for you to join us!

Our goal as a society is to “Provide you with the tools to discover your roots and connect you to your family tree.” We offer a friendly space where you can meet other genealogists, attend programs and workshops, and learn more about genealogical research methods. We are also committed to collecting, preserving, and sharing genealogical information about the people in this area. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey of discovery!
